Our Sterling Silver Elephant “hair” rings draw us into an ancient African story, rich with symbolism that is over 1500 years old.

This sweet little elephant "Hair" 2knot ring is handmade made from Sterling Silver.

The ring adjusts just like the bangles do, but we would still need a size as they will only adjust a few sizes.

The specific design of this ring is very significant.

Two Knot Ring

The first knot represents nature, or the earth; the second represents our ancestors while the strands connect us all together. The bracelet reminds us of the connection to these realms.

The Structure

It can feel very satisfying to adjust and move the knots along the strands. This motion is also meaningful. It imitates the progression of life, and how, with the aid of natural and spiritual forces, we move forward in continual growth.

Traditionally, elephant hair rings, connect the wearer with the spirit of the elephant, and are believed to bring strength, courage, good fortune, as well as protection from harm.

With so much meaning imbued in these special pieces, the wearer can choose which associations are most meaningful to them.

While of course, the original rings were made from real elephant hair, we chose not to use elephant hair as it would be very difficult to verify whether or not the hair was sourced from a poached animal.

We hope our silver rings will remind you of our relationship with the earth, our ancestors and the true majestic nature of the elephant, all done in the spirit of conservation.
