Take Me Home Ndoro GPS Spinner Ring in Sterling Silver

The Ndoro is an ancient Zimbabwean symbol that has fascinated me all my life, so I thought it would be a beautiful pattern to combine with our "Take Me Home" GPS spinner ring. The Ndoro symbols are hand-engraved on the outer two bands, and the GPS coordinates of your choice are stamped on the middle band. The ring consists of four parts: a central core on which the three bands independently move on.

This Sterling Silver ring is chunky, 14 mm wide, and weighs approximately 15 grams. All handmade, all completely unique.

Ndoros are an ancient symbol of wealth and status used during the Great Zimbabwe Empire and across Africa, dating back to the 11th century.

Ndoros were originally made from conus shells and due to their high demand were later manufactured from porcelain. The people of Great Zimbabwe adopted this as their currency and into their culture. The number of Ndoros your wife wore directly indicated not only your wealth, but also your status in the community.

We handcraft every Ndoro ourselves in Zimbabwe, and are proud to say that due to their handmade nature, no two Ndoros are exactly the same.
