Infinity Necklace
Infinity Necklace
Did you know that, ironically, the Infinity symbol is actually pretty new in the history of symbols?
Well, it's new in the fact that it originates from 1655, when a mathematician decided to take the number 8 and turn it on its side to represent infinity! Most of the symbols that we hold sacred are actually much, much older.
It has come to represent never-ending love, two people coming together to form an infinite unity, regeneration and life after death, the interconnectedness of all things, and the promise that God made to his people for everlasting life.
The beauty of this symbol for me is that it flows back into itself continually, which is why we decided to give our Infinity Necklace a bit of a brushed texture on half of it to give it a bit of shimmer as if it were moving.
This hand-cut infinity symbol is 30 mm wide, is hung on a 40 cm chain, and is made in recycled silver.
