These unique and eye-catching Ndoros are 10 mm diameter, they are designed to be light enough to be worn comfortably all day and night. They are paired with classic French hook in Sterling Silver and measure 40 mm from top to bottom.

Ndoros are an ancient symbol of wealth and status used during the Great Zimbabwe Empire and across Africa, dating back to the 11th century.

Ndoros were originally made from conus shells and due to their high demand were later manufactured from porcelain. The people of Great Zimbabwe adopted this as their currency and into their culture. The number of Ndoros your wife wore directly indicated not only your wealth, but also your status in the community.
